The English Coast (Isle of Wight) Order 2014
This Order specifies the Isle of Wight for the purposes of section 300(2)(b) of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 (c. 23), with the effect that the Isle of Wight is no longer an excluded island for the purposes of the description of “the English coast” contained in section 300(1) of that Act.

Enabling power
The Secretary of State, being satisfied that the coast of the Isle of Wight is of sufficient length to enable the establishment of one or more long-distance routes along its length capable of affording the public an extensive journey on foot, and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 300(2)(b) and (5) of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009, makes the following Order.
