The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (Consequential and Other Amendments) Regulations 2025
These Regulations make amendments which are consequential on provisions in the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (c. 18) (“the 2025 Act”). They also make related changes in relation to recordable offences.

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27(4) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984, section 199(2) of the Data Protection Act 2018and section 139(1) and (2)(c) of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. In accordance with section 182(2) of the Data Protection Act 2018, the Secretary of State has consulted the Commissionerand such other persons as the Secretary of State considers appropriate.
