This Order revokes the Civil Aviation (Customs and Excise Airports) Order 2001 (the “2001 Order”) and the Civil Aviation (Customs and Excise Airports) Order 2009 (S.I. 2009/1605) and replaces them with a new Order which designates certain airports to be places for the landing or departure of aircraft for the purposes of the enactments for the time being in force relating to customs and excise. This Order adds three additional airports for these purposes. These airports are Doncaster (Sheffield) Airport, George Best (Belfast City) Airport and Inverness Airport. The 2001 Order is not available online, however, a copy of it can be obtained by contacting the Department for Transport, Great Minster House, 33 Horseferry Road, London, SW1P 4DR. A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument, as no, or no significant impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
