The Chemical Weapons (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019
These Regulations are made under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 (c.13) to establish a sanctions regime for the purpose of discouraging the proliferation and use of chemical weapons. Following the UK's withdrawal from the European Union, these Regulations replace the EU sanctions regime concerning restrictive measures against the proliferation and use of chemical weapons, implemented via an EU Council Decision and Regulation.

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1)(c) and (3)(b), 3(1)(a) and (d)(i), 4, 9(2)(a), 10(2)(a) and (c), (3) and (4), 11(2) to (9), 15(2)(a) and (b), (3), (4)(b), (5) and (6), 16, 17(2) to (9), 21(1), 54(1) and (2)(a), 56 and 62(4) and (5) of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018, and having decided, upon consideration of the matters set out in section 2(2) and 56(1) of that Act, that it is appropriate to do so, makes the following Regulations:
