Enabling power
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 and sections 1 and 8(6) and paragraphs 1, 4, 4A, 7, 8 and 10 of Schedule 1 to the Building Act 1984, having consulted, in accordance with section 14(3) of that Act, the Building Regulations Advisory Committee for Englandand such other bodies as appear to the Secretary of State to be representative of the interests concerned.
