The Beavers (England) Order 2022
This Order, which applies to England only, amends Schedule 2 to the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 (S.I. 2017/1012), which lists European Protected Species of animals, and Schedule 9 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (c. 69), which lists animals that may not be released or allowed to escape into the wild and plants which may not be planted or otherwise caused to grow in the wild.

Enabling power
The Secretary of State has, in accordance with section 26(4)(a) of the Act, given any other person affected an opportunity to submit objections or representations with respect to the subject matter of this Order. The Secretary of State has also, in accordance with section 26(4)(b) of the Act, consulted with Natural England, being the advisory bodywhich the Secretary of State considers is best able to advise as to whether this Order should be made.
