The Ammonium Nitrate Materials (High Nitrogen Content) Safety (Amendment) Regulations 2022
These Regulations amend the Ammonium Nitrate Materials (High Nitrogen Content) Safety Regulations 2003 (S.I. 2003/1082). Regulation 2 amends transitional provisions relating to EU Exit, to permit detonation resistance testing of ammonium nitrate imported into Great Britain from countries outside of the European Union to be carried out at competent laboratories based within the UK or the European Union, and to correct minor errors.

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 15(1) and (2), and 82(3)(a) of, and paragraphs 1(4) and 2(1) of Schedule 3 to, the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, following consultation with the Health and Safety Executive, the Office for Nuclear Regulation and such other bodies as appeared to the Secretary of State to be appropriate in accordance with section 50(1AA)of that Act, makes the following Regulations.
