This Order revokes the Football Spectators (2020 UEFA European Championship Control Period) Order 2020 (S.I. 2020/11) due to the postponement of the 2020 UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) European Football Championship final tournament (“the Tournament”) until 2021. The Football Spectators (2020 UEFA European Championship Control Period) Order 2020 prescribes the control period under the Football Spectators Act 1989 (“the Act”) for the Tournament. The control period under the Order was to begin on 7th June 2020, which is five days before the first match in the Tournament was due to take place and end when the last match played outside the United Kingdom in the Tournament is finished or cancelled. The last match outside the United Kingdom was due to be played on 4th July 2020.
