Enabling power
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Places of Worship Registration Act 1855, sections 43D, 71Aand 74(3)of the Marriage Act 1949, sections 38Aand 39Aof the Births and Deaths Registration Act 1953, sections 34 and 36(4) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004, sections 15(4) and 19 of, and paragraph 6(1) and (3) of Schedule 1 to, the Presumption of Death Act 2013and section 9(1) and (4) of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013.
