Correction Slip
These Regulations make provision for consolidation and increase of fees payable to the Secretary of State in the field of animal health into one statutory instrument. The fees are collected by the Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency (AHVLA), an executive agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

These Regulations make provision for a purpose mentioned in section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 and it appears to the Secretary of State that it is expedient for any reference to Regulationof the European Parliament and of the Council on the control of salmonella and other specified food-borne zoonotic agents, Council Directivelaying down the animal health requirements applicable to intra-Community trade in and imports of semen of domestic animals of the porcine species, or Council Directiveon animal health conditions governing intra-Community trade in, and imports from third countries of, poultry and hatching eggs, to be construed as a reference to that Regulation or that Directive as amended from time to time.
