Briefing
International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia has, since 2005, taken place annually on 17 May. The date was chosen to mark the day, in 1990, when the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from its list of mental disorders.
A debate on the same subject took place in the Chamber last year on 17 May 2018.
This briefing provides some background material and further reading for the debate.
