Briefing
The government is working in several areas to address deforestation, including within the United Nations Framework on Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and through domestic legislation such as the proposed ban for business from trading in products that may have been produced through illegal deforestation. The government is also introducing changes to support for biomass generation that uses imported wood pellets.
