On 28 January 2020 at 9.30am Matt Rodda MP will open a Westminster Hall debate on fire risk in flats and shared housing. In a previous debate on the Grenfell Fire Public Inquiry on 21 January, Mr Rodda highlighted concern about fire safety risks in residential buildings that fall below the 18m level (the level initially covered by the work after Grenfell to identify high-risk buildings with ACM). He also noted, with regard to fire safety, “potentially dangerous houses in multiple occupation where terraced houses are divided up into maybe two or three flats.”[1]
