Constituency data: Where are military bases located?
There are over 2,000 military bases in the UK (including reserve bases). Use our interactive dashboard to find out about military bases in your constituency.
The Ministry of Defence does not routinely publish details about the locations of military bases. However, it has previously published this sort of information in response to parliamentary questions.
In response to a parliamentary question on military bases that was tabled on 27 November 2024, the Ministry of Defence published a deposited paper containing a list of armed forces bases by parliamentary constituency as of January 2025.
The deposited paper indicates whether a base is designated for use by:
- UK regular forces
- UK reserve forces
- NATO
- US visiting forces (USVF)
