Constituency data: Educational qualifications (Census 2021, 2022)
Find census data on the highest qualifications of adults by constituency.
This dashboard presents census data for constituencies on the highest educational qualification of adults.
The most recent census was carried out in March 2021 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and in March 2022 in Scotland. This dashboard shows the results for constituencies across the UK.
The census asked respondents to select all the qualifications they had achieved from a list which included ‘no qualifications’. The lists were the same in the censuses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and the analysis of highest qualifications are the same in these areas. A longer list of qualifications was used for Scotland’s census and their highest qualification categories are somewhat different.
We’ve calculated UK averages using 2021 data for England, Wales and Northern Ireland and 2022 data for Scotland. These figures are for comparative purposes, and don’t tell us about the population on a particular date.
