Ban the sale and use of indoor fireworks
We call on the UK Government to ban the sale and use of indoor fireworks. Although classified as F1, they emit flames and sparks that can pose a serious fire risk in enclosed spaces. We believe a ban would help prevent avoidable fires and reduce pressure on fire and rescue services.

Background
Indoor fireworks are marketed as low-risk and classified as F1, yet they still emit flames and sparks that can ignite furnishings and decorations when used indoors. Fires in enclosed spaces can spread rapidly, reducing escape time and increasing the risk of serious injury or death. Banning indoor fireworks could be a proportionate measure to reduce preventable fires, protect public safety, and lessen pressure on fire and rescue services, while still allowing regulated outdoor fireworks.
