Introduce a UK-wide deposit return system for cans, plastic, and glass bottles, like Sweden’s "pant" system. Add a 10–20p deposit to each container, refunded when returned. Make it mandatory for all retailers and fully implemented by 2028 to cut waste and boost recycling.
