Background
Free speech in the UK is under direct assault. This Government arrests 33 people a day for social media posts, censors online news, enforces de facto blasphemy laws, and disperses peaceful protests to minimise 'distress' to those criticised.
Yet subjective feelings can not and do not supersede the right to speech. If the right to cause offence does not exist, neither does the right to speech. To claim otherwise is to allow total censorship by anyone 'distressed' by inconvenient truths.
