It is not clear exactly what action you want to be taken to reduce waiting times, or by how much you want them reduced. You could start a new petition setting this out more clearly. The NHS has published this statement on waiting times on 12 March 2026: https://www.england.nhs.uk/2026/03/nhs-waiting-list-continues-to-fall-despite-record-winter/

Background
In my own experience, I had to wait an entire year for a hospital appointment. Waiting this long for care can be worrying and stressful especially when people need treatment. Unfortunately many people are facing this situation.
The National Health Service is essential and millions of people rely on. Long waiting times can delay diagnosis, treatment and support for patients which can impact their health whereas, if they get access to healthcare more quickly they can receive the care they need.
