Set up no catch marine reserves in 30% of the UK seas & EEZ by May 2027
Set up 'no catch' marine reserves in 30% of the UKs territorial seas and Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) by May 2027. These must be protected from all human activity harmful to marine life (e.g. pollution, bottom trawling) and to maximize biodiversity and fish stocks.

Background
Recent governments, including the current, have promised to deliver '30 by 30'. To reserve 30% of the UK's land and seas for nature by 2030. Unfortunately, we believe the climate and biodiversity crisis is too bad to wait that long and allocating the sea areas is much easier than land as the Crown already owns the seabed. The sooner these reserves are put in place the sooner our seas will recover. We think this will be to the benefit of both fish and fisherman.
