Revise rules for speed limit signs at roundabouts.
Update the rules for speed limit signage at roundabouts. Where there is a reduction in speed limit at a roundabout, require signs before the roundabout. Where there is an increase in limit, place signs after. If exits have different speed limits, place signs after every exit.

Background
The new car assessment programme expects new vehicles to be fitted with traffic sign recognition (TSR) and speed limiter. These systems read speed limit signs and display this on the instrument panel. The same information is sent to the speed limiter. Badly placed signs can confuse drivers and TSR. The result can be that a driver may unintentionally exceed the speed limit. If a roundabout has different speed limits on exit roads, there must be a limit sign immediately after every exit.
