Review and reform Cafcass to address systemic failings and protect families
We think Cafcass fails children and families, showing a lack of balance, ignoring evidence, and enabling abusers. Section 7 reports may be inaccurate, professional assessments dismissed, and complaints ignored. Victims may face retraumatisation, while staff may make harmful decisions.

Background
We think urgent reform is essential.
We think Cafcass consistently fails children and families with unbalance reports, dismissed evidence, and enabling abusers through recommending co-parenting.
These failures may cause delays in support, trauma for victims, and emotional distress for families. We think the Government must reform Cafcass to enforce accountability, improve staff training, and prioritise children’s welfare. We think families deserve a system that safeguards their rights and well-being, not one that exacerbates conflict and harm.
