Restrict transport of asylum seekers from MoD sites to local towns
We want the Government to end what we see as unnecessary taxpayer-funded transport from MoD asylum sites to local towns & cities. Transport contracts already operate from Wethersfield & Crowborough. Future MoD sites should provide minimal offsite travel & provide services onsite wherever practical.

Background
We believe routine transport from MoD asylum sites to local towns should be limited to essential journeys only. There have been reports of arrests involving some asylum seekers linked to sites such as Wethersfield. We believe daily transport, including early evening collections 365 days a year, is unnecessary, increases costs to taxpayers and raises concerns within local communities.
