Require utility companies to provide ongoing accessible advice on charges
Require utility companies to provide ongoing, accessible reminders when contracts end & cheaper options are available. We think customers shouldn’t face avoidable charges because they miss a single notification, and that companies must improve support, including disabled and neurodivergent people.

Background
Many people miss renewal points due to busy lives, disability, or complex admin systems. We do not think that a single email is enough protection when companies can change prices significantly at contract end. Providers should be required to actively alert customers multiple times and through different channels. The same systems they already use to sell and promote upgrades should be used to warn customers and offer cheaper options. This could reduce the “loyalty penalty” so people are not overcharged.
