Reject any proposals to place shotguns onto section 1 FAC's
The government is proposing to place shotguns onto section 1 of The Firearms Act which would effectively require any purchase to be authorised prior and authority to obtain recorded on a Firearms Certificate (FAC).This would create unneccessary delays and overwelme an already burdened process.

Background
These tighter restrictions to an already strict Act will create unneccesary delays in the process of purchasing or acquiring a shotgun. Conditions will be placed on their use. These proposals will undoubtably increase the workload of already over burdened licensing departments creating even longer delays.
