Raise the 40% tax threshold from £50,271 to £53,800
I believe the current 40% tax threshold of £50,271 is outdated and doesn't reflect current earnings or inflation. I think that many middle-income earners—such as teachers, nurses, and skilled professionals—are now being pushed into the higher tax bracket.

Background
I think that raising the threshold to £53,800 would help account for inflation and wage growth, ensuring that higher tax rates apply to genuinely high earners.
