Do not decrypt and scan private messages

There have been recent efforts to slowly and unnecessarily remove encryption from private messages online which is a huge invasion of privacy and disguised mass-surveilance. We call for change to cease all efforts by the government to erode or remove message encryption!

Background
The vast majority of people have—at one point—shared personal/private details or experiences and scanning messages unnecessarily would be a massive invasion of our rights. Not to mention putting all our private messages and information into databases would be a huge security risk as it allows hackers to see everything we sent with one data breach, essentially (for most of us) giving them blackmail material & access to private info we mentioned or sent in our messages.
