Background
Reforming planning with Representative Neighbourhood Planning: citizens set binding area plans/design codes; compliant schemes get fast approval.
We believe housing under-supply drives living costs: rents and prices swallow wages and aspirations. The Centre for Cities 2023 Report, The Housebuilding Crisis, says a rapid fix needs 654,000 homes/year in England for 10 years. But the Government reported 208,600 net additions in 2024–25; below the 300,000/year ambition. Reform planning so representative neighbourhood groups set binding rules; ensure compliant schemes get fast approval.
