Background
Democracy relies on regular, guaranteed elections. When elections can be postponed by law, voting becomes a privilege rather than a right. Delaying elections allows elected officials to remain in power without renewed consent, weakening public trust and accountability. A Constitution of Democracy would protect voters by making the right to vote absolute and preventing future erosion of democratic rights.
