Background
Removing Amendment 40 leaves our countryside exposed to avoidable harm. Productive farmland is already under pressure from large-scale industrial developments, and this change weakens vital safeguards. Restoring Amendment 40 would protect nature, food security and rural communities by ensuring environmental damage cannot be justified for financial gain.
