Background
School uniforms should not be mandatory because they limit students’ freedom to express their individuality and identity, which is an important part of personal development during school years. In addition, uniforms do not guarantee better behaviour or academic performance, meaning the strict requirement often brings more cost and restriction than real benefit. students should be valued for their abilities and character rather than what they are required to wear.
