Background
DDH is a condition that can be present at birth but may not always be detected through physical examination alone. Early diagnosis is critical, as treatment in infancy is far simpler, less invasive, and more successful than treatment later in childhood. Currently, not all babies with a family history of hip problems are consistently referred for early ultrasound screening. This can lead to delayed diagnosis, resulting in avoidable pain, complex surgeries, and long-term mobility issues.
