Background
We believe girls are being failed. Schools aren’t legally required to have a VAWG policy, record incidents separately, or train staff on misogyny and we feel victims are facing injustice and disadvantage to no fault of their own, in an environment they’re required and entitled to be in. Most schools are not required to track abuse incidents. The Government published a VAWG strategy in December 2025 but set no legal deadline for an explicit policy in schools. Girls deserve enforceable protection, not vague promises.
