Background
While we welcome the Government’s new Industrial Strategy (2025) and its identification of key growth sectors, we think effective delivery requires stronger governance, clearer sectoral focus, and long-term coordination across skills, energy, infrastructure, and innovation policy. We think a reformed ISAC must be empowered and have interdepartmental support to provide that as compared with Japan's Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
