Legalise Regulated Non-Lethal Self-Defence Tools
Rising knife crime and violent attacks can leave citizens vulnerable when police cannot arrive instantly. While some self-defence can be legal, the public lacks practical tools. Legalise self defence tools such as pepper spray to help save lives of men, women and children.

Background
Legalise regulated non-lethal self-defence tools for law-abiding residents. Ordinary people, including men, women and older children, have limited means to protect themselves from violent attacks. We feel incidents such as the recent Belfast attack show that police cannot always arrive in time. We propose legalising tools such as pepper spray under strict licensing and training. We believe this would help save lives, prevent serious injury, and improve public safety.
