Failing Water Companies- enforce mandatory investment, penalties & end dividends
Ensure water companies maintain, repair, & future‑proof water infrastructure before paying dividends or raising bills. Insist % of WC revenue spent on supply resilience. Ban dividends & bonuses unless standards are met Impose penalties for failure Automatic compensation Restore all UK waters

Background
Water is essential. In the UK, supply failures, sewage discharges & failing infrastructure show systemic failure in regulation & operation of water co’s. Not due to bad weather or changes in demand, but yrs of under-investment & weak oversight allowing monopoly providers to prioritise dividends over customers & the env’t. Customers cannot switch supplier & lack protection when services fail. Gov’t must act to protect consumers, restore rivers and coasts, & ensure reliable, sustainable services.
