Background
The Union Jack is more than a piece of fabric — it represents the United Kingdom’s shared history, values, and unity. Acts of vandalism or public disrespect toward the flag diminish national pride and dignity. Like many nations, the UK should formally recognise the importance of its symbols and adopt legal measures to protect them from deliberate harm.
