Background
We believe the "Wildwood Five" tragedy proves the Zoo Licensing Act 1981 is failing social apex predators, and that wolves' natural instincts for dispersal and hierarchy are incompatible with the physical constraints of UK parks. We feel we need to phase out the public exhibition of wolves, and instead prioritise specialist, non-public sanctuaries. The Government should act to end "management" culling and modernise laws that we feel are no longer fit for purpose.
