Background
Funeral arrangements can take 2-3 weeks to arrange. We think inadequate leave from employers can cause longer term damage pressuring an employee to return prematurely following the death of a parent. Arranging a funeral for a parent is very stressful, then the additional stress of closing that parents life down in terms of their finances and other business.
