Background
We believe migrant workers & businesses are vital drivers of the UK economy. HMRC records show immigrants pay over £20bn annually in direct taxes, with non-EU migrants yielding a £4.6bn net surplus. Immigrants own 27% of UK businesses, creating over 1.1 million jobs. Home Office accounts also show £23.19bn was extracted via visa fees and levies (2019-25). We believe abrupt visa rule changes can create severe anxiety & damage talent retention.
