Background
We, the undersigned, petition for the calculation of child maintenance payments to be based on after-tax income. Current methods use gross income, which does not reflect the actual financial situation of non-custodial parents. This can create undue hardship and prevent fair compliance. By adjusting to after-tax calculations, we promote fairness, improve co-parenting relationships, and ensure children receive adequate support.
