Fund the construction of outdoor pools in England
Many young lives have been lost in Yorkshire alone, due to drowning in rivers and reservoirs. I believe open air swimming pools could prevent this by allowing children to take a dip somewhere else during the increasingly hotter summers; deterring them from swimming in rivers or reservoirs.

Background
The Government’s funding of the construction of open air public swimming pools in local areas could deter children from swimming in local rivers, where many children have died. Hotter summers can lead to greater danger for children, as they may swim in bodies of water that are less safe.
I believe we need to prioritise our future generations. The Government could fund the construction of public swimming pools in local parks or open air spaces.
