Provide funding to repair severe potholes and compensate drivers
Provide funding to resurface and properly repair affected roads. Ensure local authorities have adequate resources to maintain roads safely. Review compensation processes so drivers are not left out of pocket for damage caused by neglected road infrastructure

Background
Many vehicles have been damaged due to severe potholes, costing people hundreds or even thousands of pounds in repairs. Potholes can not only cause financial hardship but also create a serious safety hazard for road users. No one should have to risk an accident or vehicle damage simply by using a public road. Prompt action is needed.
