Background
Many neurodivergent children experience severe anxiety, emotional dysregulation, school refusal and family breakdown, yet are unable to access CAMHS unless they self-harm or reach crisis. This delays early intervention, increases long-term harm, and places additional pressure on families, schools and emergency services. Early assessment improves outcomes and reduces future costs.
