Exclude all current serving politicians from receiving honours until they retire
Exclude all current serving elected politicians from receiving Honours while they are still serving. They are elected to do a job and should not be honoured for doing the work they are being paid to do. After they have retired, they can then be nominated for their service but not during.

Background
Specifically exclude all serving elected politicians from being nominated or receiving honours. Nominations should only be allowed for Non political reasons unless for a reward of long service upon retirement. The honours system has been used as a system of bribes and a way to buy loyalty and this dishonours the whole system and brings it into disrepute.
