Create and fund a new body to oversee the provision of palliative care
We believe the NHS was not set up to provide palliative care, and that we need a new body to oversee provision of all palliative care. We think the NHS is about treatment and prevention and that care for those with life ending diseases and dementia needs to be better overseen with greater focus.

Background
In our view, too many complain about palliative care in the NHS without understanding that it is not resourced or fit to provide palliative care. We think care homes both private and publicly funded need to be better overseen by experts through a separate body. People with life ending diseases and dementia deserve better from us but it's our belief that this is not nor should it be within the NHS remit except where cross pollination may advance medicine through research and trials etc. We believe our proposal could also enable us to better address issues such as euthanasia.
