Create a national programme of police-led safety workshops for primary schools.
We ask the UK Government to create a nationally funded programme that works with police forces and schools to provide regular police-led workshops in schools for years 5 and 6 on online safety, gangs, drugs and alcohol, mental health, behaviour, future choices and transitioning to secondary school.

Background
Many primary schools have previously benefited from police-led workshops on online safety, gangs, drugs and alcohol, mental health, behaviour, future choices and preparing for secondary school. These visits can help children make informed decisions, stay safe and build positive relationships with trusted adults. However, many of these locally organised visits have stopped for the foreseeable future due to staffing, availability, and approval processes. We want a nationally funded programme so all children can access this support.
