Change the pay of High level MP's including the PM to the national minimum wage.
Remove MP's expense account and change their pay to that of the national minimum wage, as they assure us that is enough to live on, so let's have them live by example.

Background
This would remove financial gain as a motive for attaining power and would therefore remove the desirability to those individuals that get into politics solely for financial gain and don't do an adequate job for those they supposedly represent in their constituencies. Let's at least try to keep the politics in this country honest.
