Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure if you want a referendum on financial support for asylum seekers, or whether you'd like the tax system to be changed so that people can choose to opt-out of taxes supporting asylum seekers if they wish to. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

Background
Those who vote to opt out should pay less tax, those that want to help pay more taxes with a clause that if the offer to house these refugees their taxes would not be affected,
Thus freeing up the hotels cost,
As a democratic country surely the public should decide where their taxes are spent rather than having it forced on them to pay for something they do not want to,
