Reduce Student Loan Plan 2 interest rate to be that of Plans 1, 4 & 5.
Reduce Student Loan Plan 2 interest rate to be the same as that paid by students on Plans 1, 4 & 5. This would reduce the interest rate to 3.2%, from 6.2%.

Background
We think that this will permit younger people to be able to repay their loans to the UK Government, reducing the overall national debt. In addition, this will empower the financial freedom of those on Plan 2 (c.640,000 people), and combat current challenges they face, such as the graduate labour market and astronomical housing costs, in turn boosting the UK economy.
